Dr. Tieraona Low Dog has done us the service of demystifying these questions. Dr. Low Dog is the director of the fellowship program for Andrew Weil’s Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. She was appointed by President Clinton to the White House Commission on Alternative Medicine and has served on the advisory board for the National Institutes of Health center for Alternative Medicine.
